For one day, the sports wear store that typically sells basketball outfits of Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, became a "Manny Pacquiao house" with shirts, shoes, shorts of the pound-for-pound king on display.
Despite a long day from training, Pacquiao gamely participated in an interview with the event’s host.
In a separate interview with ABS-CBN’s Dyan Castillejo, the Fighter of the Decade said he has put in a lot of work for his bout against “Sugar” Shane Mosley.
“Talagang ‘yung sakripisyong ginawa natin, matindi (I've made so much sacrifice in training),” he said.
Pacquiao also introduced to the crowd his sparring partner, Shawn Porter.
Porter said the Filipino champion is ready for a tough exchange with Mosley.
“I would say he's pretty much right there if not above where I last trained with him. He's ready for the fight,” said Porter.
Pacquiao thanked all his fans and even members of his team for their continued support.
Team Pacquiao will be leaving for Las Vegas in the next two days for his fight with Shane Mosley on May 7. – With reports from ANC and Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN
